Tracking & trips
Can I record trips without Pro?
Yes. Unlimited core trip recording is free. You can manually start your mileage records without a Pro subscription.
What should I check after a trip?
Review the recorded distance, route, start and destination, trip type and any notes you want to keep with the record.
Can I separate business and personal driving?
Yes. Trip records can be organized as business or personal so the two types of driving do not have to be mixed together.
Auto Start
Auto Start is enabled but a trip did not start.
Open HonestMile Settings, turn Auto Start off, then turn it on again. HonestMile will run the setup checks again.
Follow any setup message shown by the app before testing another drive.
Does Auto Start require Pro?
Yes. Auto Start is a Pro feature. New users can try the full Pro feature set during the 7-day trial.
Why does Android ask for location permissions?
Mileage tracking needs location access to record the route and distance of a drive. Auto Start may require additional Android permission setup so tracking can work when the app is not already open.
Cloud Sync
What does Cloud Sync do?
Cloud Sync keeps supported HonestMile data synchronized with the cloud so your records are not limited to the local copy on the phone.
Sync did not complete.
Confirm that the phone has an internet connection and try the sync action again.
If the problem continues, do not repeatedly delete or recreate the affected trip. Keep the record on the device and include the sync message when contacting support.
Vehicles
Can HonestMile keep records for more than one vehicle?
Yes. Multiple vehicles are available with Pro so trips can remain associated with the vehicle that produced them.
I selected the wrong vehicle for a trip.
Open the trip detail and review the available edit options. Keep the vehicle assignment consistent with the vehicle that was actually used for the drive.

What happens after the 7-day Pro trial?
You can continue using HonestMile Free with unlimited core trip recording, or continue with Pro for C$4.99 per month.
What does Pro add?
Pro adds Auto Start, Cloud Sync, multiple vehicles and PDF reports.
Where is the subscription managed?
Android subscriptions are purchased and managed through Google Play. Billing and cancellation controls are available through the Google Play account used for the subscription.
Permissions & privacy
Why does HonestMile need precise location?
Precise location is used to build a useful mileage record from the route and distance travelled.
Where can I read the privacy information?
Website privacy information is available on the HonestMile Privacy page. App-specific disclosures should also be reviewed in the app and its Google Play listing when available.
